Ukrainian civil society
Ukraine is a country of citizens who strive to improve living conditions in their communities and in the country as a whole.Ukrainian civil society actively interacts with politicians and authorities, informs citizens about current issues of political and social life, and provides opportunities to promote reforms. The culture of volunteerism is spreading more and more in the country, especially today, when Ukrainian society is resisting Russian aggression.Organizations of civil society — public, charitable, volunteer organizations, informal movements — defend the interests of Ukrainians, provide them with opportunities to influence the development of society and community. Thanks to participation in public associations, ordinary citizens can influence the government through:
● interaction with mass media● turn to the world community, international organizations● to publicly discuss urgent social problems● to delegate representatives of public organizations to public positions (in the government, ministries, local self-government bodies, etc.)
